Lost | Anubis x Reader

You were walking down the hallway on your way to class, trying to figure remember the answer to a science question for the upcoming quiz - even though you knew you were probably going to fail - when something caught your eye. Stopping and glancing over, you saw a pair of purple eyes watching you curiously. "Who's there?" You called.
The thing eeped and scrambled away. Now your curiousity was fired and you chased after it, forgetting about your class.
"Please wait!" You called.
The thing - which was actually a person - only ran faster, disappearing from view. Panting, you rested your hands on your knees. You glanced around, to find yourself in a place you didn't recognize. Sighing, you looked around for something somewhat familiar. Aaand, nothing. Knowing that you were utterly lost and very late to class, you sat down and fell asleep. There was no point staying awake, anyway. You might as well relax. Maybe someone would find you.
But then again, maybe you would die out here...

Anubis crept back to where the girl had collapsed. "Ka-bara?" He whispered, walking into view. The girl was very pretty, with (h/c) hair and (s/c) skin. Her clothes were a bit rumpled, and he felt bad. He crouched down, extending his hand to shake her awake. He froze when she stirred in her sleep, her eyes flickering open.

You stared at the boy in front of you. He stared back, then yelped something and stumbled back. You sat up, calling, "Wait! Don't go!"
The boy stopped, and you stood up, brushing off your skirt. Those purple eyes watched your every move; he was tense, ready to flee at a moment's notice.
"You're Anubis, right?" You asked.
He nodded. You grinned.
"I'm ___." You told him.
He nodded again. Seeing as he wasn't going to say anything, you said, "I'm lost, can you lead me back to the main building?"
His eyes flickered. "Ka-bara-bara." He started off.
Wondering what the heck he had just said, you followed him, hoping he wasn't leading you further away. Seeing the main building coming into view, you turned to thank him. He was already edging away. Knowing you would have to make this quick, you leaned over and kissed his cheek. His face went bright red.
"Thank you." You said, but he was already gone.
Shrugging to yourself, you headed back to your dorm. No use even trying to go to class, you would just have to make something up and hope he'd accept it.

Anubis paced back and forth, muttering to himself. Everytime he saw you lean in, the gentle pressure of your lips against his skin, he went bright crimson. He finally decided to tell Thoth. He snuck into a hiding spot near the door, he waited until the others had spilled from the classroom. Scampering into the nearly empty room, he chattered to Thoth what had happened.
Thoth just looked at him, then glanced at the door. Anubis turned, his face darkening more.

You stood in the entrance of the door, watching Anubis flail, his face bright red.
"Sorry I didn't show, Thoth-sama." You apologized.
"Anubis told me all about it." Thoth glanced at him, then stood up.
He wordlessly left, closing the door behind him. You turned to a fidgeting Anubis.
"Sorry if I embarrassed you. I was just showing my thanks." You played with your fingers behind your back.
"Ka-bara!" He cried.
You watched him in confusion. He buried his face in his sleeves, muttering to himself.
"I have, um, heard about you from the others." His eyes widened in worry, staring at you.
"Good things! They said good things!" You said quickly, watching him relax some.
His face was still red. "I was really happy to meet you." You tapped your toes against the floor, suddenly embarrassed yourself.
He chattered something, but you could only blink in confusion.
"Anyway, I kinda...like-like you." His face went crimson again.
Yours was pink. Anubis seemed hesitant, slowly edging closer to you. You kept still, watching him. He leaned in and just barely grazed his lips against yours.
He chattered something, face still red, then scurried out. You could only giggle.
